Voters to decide on transfer taxes

Realtors in St. Joseph are supporting a proposed ballot measure to block real estate transfer taxes.

A Cole County circuit judge ruled last week that supporters of the measure submitted enough signatures to qualify for the Nov. 2 statewide ballot. That overturns the secretary of state’s decision that too few valid signatures were submitted.

The ballot measure would prohibit transfer taxes imposed on real estate sales. Missouri does not currently levy that type of tax, but supporters of the ballot measure fear that Jefferson City lawmakers will try to impose a transfer tax in an effort to shore up the state’s massive budget shortfall.

“We feel like it would be unfair to property owners,” said Mary Kay Lyle, board president of the St. Joseph Regional Association of Realtors

Enzymes are a vital

Enzymes are a vital part of the digestion process, breaking the food you eat down into easily assimilated particles. Without enzymes, vitamins are worthless because they cannot be absorbed by your body. With enzymes, a little goes a long way. They exist in miniscule quantities but are extremely powerful.

Food enzymes not only assist in the digestion process, they offer a host of other benefits as well. Enzymes can lower cholesterol, cleanse your colon, improve the immune system, provide detoxification, improve muscle and speed the removal of carbon dioxide from your lungs.

There are several different categories of food enzymes. Understanding what they are and what they do can help you decide whether or not you should add them, in supplement form, to your daily diet.

You can also use a comb and

You can also use a comb and scissors, but trimmers are generally a little faster.

Be prepared for your facial hair to grow in different directions. This means, especially if you have a beard, that you will most likely need to use a combination of trimmer and scissors techniques for facial hair maintenance. You may want to plan for quick trims with the trimmers during the week, with a longer session on a weekend morning for full trimming.

If you find you have bare patches in your moustache or beard, you can blend the hair using the trimmers blending attachment. You can also use colored eyebrow pencils that match the color of your facial hair to fill in any blank spots. Just be sure to use a waterproof pencil so that it doesn?t run if you get sweaty during a work out. You can find eyebrow or facial hair colored pencils at beauty supply stores or online hair supply websites.

To make facial hair style work It?s also very important to take care of every other grooming aspect as well.

That outing was followed up by a doctor’s visit since I had injured my ankle.

Purchasing a cheap cross trainer seems to

Purchasing a cheap cross trainer seems to be becoming more and more popular. They are of course eminently practical in that you can use them regardless of the outside weather conditions and if it’s morning, evening or the middle of the night. They also give you a very good comprehensive workout and the fact that it is all contained within one machine makes them an ideal solution for many people seeking to exercise at home. But as with all things that must be purchased with money your finances will inevitably play a part in your choice. So many people actively seek out and decide to buy a cheap cross trainer without sacrificing any of the advantages that this home exercise machine has to offer.

When evaluating a cheap cross trainer it is important to make sure that the machine that you buy is fit for the purpose of getting you into better shape. There is no point in just concentrating solely on price unless you have a very restricted budget to the detriment of the quality of the machine and consequently it?s ability to cope with the demands that you will place on it.

It is a very
attractive cut that gives out maximum brilliance from a
square cut. It is effectively a square version of the
round brilliant cut and is known as the square
modified brilliant cut. The square or rectangular cut
was invented about 30 years ago by Basil
Watermeyer from Johannesburg. It was then known
as the Barion cut. This was a style with extra and
improved so as to obtain maximum brilliance from the
diamond.

The square stone are better for certain design
application such as eternity rings, as they can be set
in one continuous line with no gaps between them
such as would be with round stones.

The Princess Cut diamond is more forgiving of
diamond flaws. Any inclusions are less visible and any
slight yellowish color is less noticeable. Also because
of the extra faceting, princess cuts are naturally more
brilliant and sparkly than ordinary square diamonds.

What to watch out for is that the setting for your
princess cut diamond protects the four pointed
corners as these are the points prone to chipping.

I had the idea that a hundred

I had the idea that a hundred dollars, wrapped up in an ace bandage on my leg, would be safer than in money belts. It worked for ten days on our trip to Ecuador, until we went dancing. The cash danced to its own tune, which I didn’t even notice until morning. The lesson is to wrap it up tight, or don’t go dancing.

Hiding Money And Documents

There are travel options other than money belts for hiding cash and important papers. Use several of them, rather than putting everything in one place. Don’t carry too much cash. It’s easy now, almost everywhere, to access your money using an ATM, so carry enough for a few days, or a week at most.

There are pouches that hang under your shirt to carry your passport and other papers.

KUALA LUMPUR: A nightclub employee was slashed to death by two parang-wielding men at her apartment unit in Pandan Perdana here yesterday.

Chia Siak Heng, 32, sustained at least eight slash wounds in the 8.35pm incident.

Ampang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Abd Jalil Hassan said the victim’s 23- year-old housemate was with her when the men knocked on the door.

When she saw the armed men, the housemate escaped and contacted the police.

When the housemate came back with the police later, they found Chia’s body sprawled in the kitchen with slash wounds all over her body.

“We have ruled out robbery as the motive as nothing was missing.

“We believe this attack could be due to revenge,” Jalil told reporters at the crime scene yesterday.
